Avisons
OVERVIEW
Avisons is a beloved family-run business based in Upper Hutt, led by the dynamic duo of Gayleen and Nicole. As they celebrated 22 years of serving their community, they sought to refresh their brand to better reflect the evolution of their offerings and vision for the future.

We delivered a complete rebranding solution, including:
A modern logo design

OUR APPROACH
The primary challenge in the Avisons rebranding project was to craft a modern and dynamic logo that resonated with the business's current offerings and aspirations. The existing logo featured a calligraphy font and a Fleur de lis, originally reflecting the business's French-style products, which was too restrictive. Our goal was to create a simpler design with a touch of vibrant colour.
To start, we conducted an extensive analysis of similar businesses within the industry, identifying common design themes, colour schemes, and styles. We delved deeper into the name 'Avison,' which is not only unique but is also the owner’s surname, and realised its potential significance for the rebrand.
The research process uncovered the family's old coat of arms, prominently featuring a sheaf of wheat. In heraldry, wheat symbolises life, growth, and prosperity. We saw an opportunity to integrate this symbol into the brand's new identity.
Engaging with Nicole and Gayleen, we observed the business's evolution from a homewares store to a lifestyle store. Avisons now offers a diverse range of high-quality personal accessories designed to enhance everyday life and add value to their customers' lives.
The choice of green as the primary colour was not random; it signifies new beginnings and growth, perfectly aligning with the brand's new identity. The selection of an elegant, all-capital font emphasised the power and distinctiveness of the 'Avison' name itself, without overshadowing it.
RESULT
The final outcome is a distinctive and cohesive visual identity that positions Avisons as a symbol of growth, quality, and modern lifestyle. The refreshed brand now confidently reflects the business's evolution and sets the stage for its continued success.
